Global Skills

Global Skills are defined in the Job Header and can be edited at any time.
Defining Global Skills on a job creates an AND condition that does not exclude employees from getting dispatched.

Find your way to the edit job page and look for the row of 3 dropdown boxes. Each of these dropdowns are populated with the skills in your list. This means that the Skill must be created prior to creating the header and that employees be punched down for that skill.

If you do not see Global Skills as an option in your edit box, please check the admin configuration as, it is an option.
Think of Global Skills as non-discriminatory pre-qualification for getting assigned to a job with a certain skill.
Consider that the employer is requesting that everyone on the job, in addition to skill they are dispatched for, also should have an OSHA 10/30 Card or be Covid Vaxxed. Global Skills will Flag those employees that meet these special conditions.

When you click on the assign button, look to the left for the orange GS.

Please note that everyone who is available still has the ability to be assigned, so we are not excluding them from a dispatch.
We are simply indicating those employees that meet the defined criteria.
GS1 AND GS2 AND GS3 AND the actuall requested skill.

In these Covid times- hopefully, this will help expedite your ability to provide a crew with a higher percentage of success at getting past these new employer requirements.
